Some things don’t come from the waking world; there’s a place we suspend in just before the transition in and out of a dream, on the cusp of a reality that cliffhangs us into where our thoughts, feelings, and desires fuse into something brand new. This is where lifepath99 emerges.
The project of London-based, via Asheville, NC musician Bex Vines comes from years of exploration, where endless paths of songwriting and sonics have converged at a singular point. Here, pop hooks dissolve into walls of noise, ghostly electronic textures weave through heavy riffs, and the familiar quickly becomes strange and distant.
