Emerging Liverpool based performer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Pixey has released her EP ‘Dreams Pains & Paper Planes’ with the label Chess Club Records.
Pixey is on a one-woman mission to spread her message far and wide. With dreamy guitar melodies throughout, Pixey has mastered the use of space from start to finish. With the ability to blend sounds from opposite ends of the spectrum, Pixey takes you through dreamy psychedelic wonderlands to a raw grunge-infused headspace in a heartbeat. Carefully crafted guitar work makes for incredibly intricate melodies that take you on a journey from the get-go. From composing her own guitar parts, writing her own lyrics and delivering that unique vocal, Pixey then uses her laptop as a melting pot and delves deep into the world of experimentation to compose her own work from scratch. She takes you on a euphoric journey through each song, with her real-life talk, from the heart lyrics and vocal performances that take things to another level. One of the most exciting artists around, Pixey began to establish herself as a ‘one-to-watch’, with her euphoric indie-pop masterpiece ‘Young’. After taking her inimitable sound around her hometown Liverpool and beyond, she began to be endorsed by some of the biggest names in the business. BBC Radio 1 plays and national playlist of her single ‘Young’ saw Pixey taking on The Great Escape, Live At Leeds, Liverpool Sound City, Radio X, BBC Merseyside, BBC Lancashire, Edith Bowman’s Record Of The Week & Simone Marie’s Artist of the Week.
